How to Make a Straight Line and Dotted Line in Microsoft Word

Straight lines, curved lines, the dotted lines in Microsoft Word often used to create organizational structures , graphs and underline a sentence and letterheads. To make or draw lines manually in Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010 can be done by :
1. Click the Insert menu and then select Shapes
2. Select one of the desired type of line , or the line can be a line with arrows 



3. By using the mouse, left-click and hold on a worksheet in Microsoft Word preferred 
4. Still on hold left click, drag the mouse over the desired direction , then release the mouse
5. The line you 've finished 

Tips : To make a straight line horizontally ( horizontal ) , upright ( vertical ) and oblique, can be done in a way that is, after you select the type of line then on the drag ( moving the mouse ), follow by pressing the shift key on the keyboard. Then you create a line that would be a straight horizontal, vertical or oblique.

Once the line has been created, to change the line becomes dotted line or becomes thicker, please follow the way as below :
1. Selection will be revamped line type and magnitude 
2. In the Format ribbon, choose a shape Outline
3. Click to change the weight large or thick lines
4. Or Click dashes to change shape into a dotted line



5. Select one size or type of the desired line
6. Then you create a line that has been changed
